Jamison, Eva, and Bubba

Bubba and Eva in the hospital on their way to meet Jamison, they felt it was necessary to bring their backpacks

Eva and Bubba saying hello to Jamison

Bubba watching TV in the hospital

These are pictures of Jamison at home. Every time he cries Bubba and Eva scream "The Baby is crying, Mamma Dad the baby". You can see the look of concern on their faces.

Jamison Leon Reeves

He is finally here. Mama and the baby are doing well. Here is all the vital information.
He came at 7:48 pm on August 28th, 2010. He weighs 8lbs, 5ozs and is 20 inches long. Miriam was admitted around 2:30pm. It took 2 tries with the epidural but it finally did work. Here are some quotes from last nights action

Miriam (after the first epidural had failed):
"If Heavenly Father wants me to have 5 kids then he is going to have to put twins in me because I am only doing this once more!"

Dr. Caridi, the first on call doctor, after asking me how fast Eva came:
"We might break that record today!" (we didn't)

A sequence between Miriam and the Doctor that delivered the baby:
Dr. "I see the babies head, Miriam we are not ready yet don't push"
Miriam "I am not pushing, I just feel something down there"

The Doctor that delivered the baby (I am sorry I can't remember his name)
"That was one of the easiest deliveries I can remember."

Geoff on the phone congratulating me and hearing the baby cry in the background
"And there's the sound I can't stand, so have fun with that."

This is funny!

Thanks for the laugh Melanie. I saw this on her facebook page and it made me burst into giggles. I am sure its offensive to half the women in the world today but its true and funny:

AND that is an actual pair of American Apparel tights! :)

Floating Trash can

Yeah the title pretty much says it. We had a HUGE Rainstorm the other day and it happened to be trash day (our trash man comes between 12 and 4pm) so all the trash cans were still out. Daniel caught this one. There were two trash cans at the end of the street and Daniel says there were 12 at the end of a street in our little community because it was a steep street. There was dirt all over every road here because of all the water.

Hutch Find

Ever since the floors have come in Daniel has been asking me to find a china hutch for the dinning area. I personally wanted a buffet a long one but I was willing to look for a china hutch. It needed to be on the smaller side and thin so that it would look good in the dinning area. Well I went to an estate sale on Friday and found this:
I loved it as soon as I saw it even with the damage. He let me have it for $25 (I think partially because of the damage and partially because it looks like I am going to go into labor an second) so I paid him and picked it up on Saturday. I have to say I think its gorgeous. My only problem now is I am trying to find a solution to the two front doors and bottom line. They are the parts peeling their wood layers so I took the wood off but only on the out sides. Any ideas what to do? I kind of have an idea. I am open to paint or anything but only the two little doors because I like the wood and its only the outside bits of the doors. I am off today to buy new hardware for it (I am going to do crystals) as soon as I drop Alexander off to school. Anyway any insight will be great. I am sure this will be all done long before this baby comes.

Floors

Floors are in, in the front room/ dinning room. Daniel has been so good to get them in. He just works on it after work and he is pretty quick. This kid is NEVER coming for seriousness so we are able to get A LOT done before he is even here. Daniel is 1/4 through the floors in the family room so all this progress is keeping me happy.

Here are the floors in the room when we moved in
(add a lot of dog pee smell and you are there)

Then I ripped all the carpet out of the whole house
and we bleached then kilzed the floors so there would be no trace of animal here
(they were white for months):

Then add a bunch of Daniel's hard work:
Viole!

Putting furniture back and buying accessories:

Poor guy is exhausted! He got the floors done Friday night so he got to go golfing at 6am on Saturday and then he got home and was exhausted! (we put a trip to Lowes in there too)
I still need to paint the dinning room chairs white. I keep putting that off hoping this kid will come. I guess I just have to do it tonight while Daniel probably works on the family room floors. When we get the room put together more I will show you pictures.

An end note: I am in LOVE with my floors. This is a huge selling point for me. When we were looking at all the homes when first buying, the house could have the worst layout and if it had these floors I was somewhat suckered in. Luckily these haven't been too hard to put in (with the help of a friends mitre saw and table saw!!)

King Park

This is one of the parks in our Neighborhood. Daniel helped in a community park clean-up by pruning some trees and shrubs and pulling weeds on Saturday. So we went and enjoyed it after wards. We took the Radio Flyer tricycles out and well Eva quit pretty fast but Alexander never wanted to stop. Daniel got in on the action too.Look at the concentration on his face

I was done in about 5 minutes because I can't seem to handle the heat anymore.

My international wall

This is my international wall. I have recieved many lovely things from my mother and from my travels and from Daniel's mission and other things. Here are some of them. They are all very different items but I wanted them together so I made it work and it has lots of room to grow.
I have always wanted a wall like this and now I have one

His first day!

Alexander had his first day of school (Well pre-school) today. I had no idea it was today until yesterday when his teacher and teacher's aid came over for a home visit to get to know Alexander and they told me school starts today! Anyway we ran to get this new back pack so he would be ready for school. This is going to be an overload of pictures. Daniel kept getting mad when I would put the camera away hence all the pictures.
Here he is before we left the house
walking in the parking lot to school
The cute court yard at the school
Eva following close behind

walking into his class room

As soon as we got in there he threw his back pack
on the floor so we needed to find his locker
(yep that is me ready to burst any minute as EVERYONE I see tells me)he went straight for the puzzles he loves puzzles
Eva was not so happy about the whole thing she thought she was going to school too.
This is her after we said bye to Alexander

Lucky for you Daniel took a video of us saying bye. You can see how attached and emotion Alexander was saying bye (that was sarcasm)

We are really happy with his teacher. She has been teaching 1st grade for 10 years and now preschool for 3 years. She has 2 bachelor degrees (Business and Elementary Ed) and a masters in early childhood development and she is very nice! He really lucked out. When I picked him up he seemed a bit overly stimulated but he got a drink and was fine. Eva on the other hand is having an emotional break down this very minute.

Up coming projects

Seeing as this baby is NEVER coming and I won't know when its coming anyway I am trying to keep a HUGE project list going or I will go insane. I currently clean the house top to bottom twice a day just in case and I make sure its extra clean right before we go anywhere which is tiring because well trying to get the kids ready at the same time can be trying. Here are some upcoming projects. This is for a seascape wall. I love seascapes and they will be the back drop to the dinning room table. As you can see I only have 2 so far but its a work in progress (as is life) I plan on using my giant frame to the left of this wall because lets face it my walls are GIANT.

This project is for a wall of mirrors for the entry way of the house. I saw a wall of mirrors in a magazine showcasing something else and I loved the wall of mirrors. As you can see I only have 3 so far but I plan on having a lot more. The criteria is oval or round in all sizes. Here is what they will all look like to keep the wall looking uniform:

The blue is actually a lot darker than this. Its the same blue as the two chairs I did and the rug in the tv room to keep a uniform color in all the down stairs rooms. I want to wait to put them on the wall until I have more. More to come later on other projects that I make up as I go.

Childs chair

I found this child's chair a few months ago and it just needed a new cover. It went from hunter green to this. I think its adorable and I loved that it is metal. The kids came to show you just how small it is. I matched it with their little bookshelf. I am a sucker for little chairs.
And then they insisted on getting some pictures without the chair and with their bears.

Isotopes

We went to an isotopes game. They were not very good that night but the kids loved it!

Proof that they were not very good

Dinner no joke

We actually had this for dinner the other night. We had a really rough no sleep and everything went badly night and Daniel needed a break treat night so his request for dinner was chocolate waffles. At least they had milk with it. This is the FIRST time ever we have had a dessert dinner. Probably the last for awhile too.

My dinning room chairs

I found these at savers half off for $3 each! They only had 3 but I loved the little shell carvings on them and wanted them for the dinning room table (there are currently no chairs in there!!) I still need to paint them white and Daniel gave me a good idea on some embellishments. This is where I am at so far:

I LOVE coral fabrics! The rest of the painting probably won't happen until after the baby comes. Daniel fixed my staple gun so I have been recovering chairs like a crazy woman sad thing is I am out of staples now and need to go to Lowes to get some more and I don't want to go to Lowes.
