Thanksgiving Day

There were many many people at Thanksgiving this year.
Lots of yummy food and good company.
Here are some photos.

There were four tables set up and this was my favorite because of the blue glass goblets and white dishes.
it was an event!

Allison planned these cute turkey's to go
with the table settings and had the kids put them together.
I loved the pink tail feathers on this one
Cute!

There were three turkeys.
This one was compliments of Carly,
it was smoked and delicious.

This was the kid's table

Look at the beautiful pies they made!!

Yes this is the dessert buffet. Delicious!

It was a busy day and it was good to spend time with everyone .
My favorite was the dessert buffet! (Eva too)

Our week in Utah

We had a great time in Utah but now we are home and I can sort of relax. Alexander was sick all night so its been a rough morning but it looks like he is on the mend. I am going to post the Utah trip in different posts because we did a lot. I didn't have my camera out half the time so yeah.

This is on the way to Utah just out side of Moab

and this is on the way home The home trip was pretty bad so we were glad to get home and sleep in our own beds. We got snow all the way into New Mexico which was unexpected. More to come later

Nap time

Nap time is a glorious time in this household! I drop Alexander off at the bus then we come home and I put Eva and Jamison down for naps. Then I do whatever I want. I don't generally take naps anymore because there is too much to do around here and because if I do it takes forever to fall asleep at night. Anyway Alexander and Eva are sick today so I kept Alexander home from preschool. He has grown out of naps so when I told them it was night night time he ran upstairs as fast as he could and I heard running around up there. Eva and I came up the stairs and I found Alexander all ready for his nap:

He has grown out of the naps but Eva has to see him go down for a nap or she won't. So I usually let him out after I hear Eva has stopped talking unless he falls asleep. Today he planned ahead and took one of my old magazines and some scissors so he could practice cutting (we were practicing cutting this morning). He has to sleep in the guest room during naps because he and Eva empty the dressers and all the hanging clothes onto the floor and don't nap when I stick them together.

Seeing him get himself all ready for his "nap" time made me laugh so I took a picture.

2 Months

Jamison turned 2 months last week or the week before and I took he and Eva to the doctor and he really is a big boy.
He is 23 inches long
He weighs 14 lb 11 oz
and he has a big head.

No shock there :) The reason I say he really is big because he was 85th percentile for height 95th for weight and 95th for his head. That is a really good size for heads in our little family. Alexander has never been on the chart.

Eva also had a wellness check up and she is in the 60th for height 60th for weight and 95th for head. We always though she was a small child but apparently she is an average sized child but our boys are just big. Here is Jamison discovering his hands
This is the look I get all day long unless I am talking to him. When I talk to him he smiles. He is a very smiley baby and I LOVE IT.

The Angel

Eva's Past 24 hours

11/5/2010 4:45 pm-- Miriam came home with a new glass bowl that she was going to use to decorate at Christmas. We put some left over candy corn in their told Eva she could have candy after we got back from Alexanders fair at his school and not to touch it. We put the candy bowl all the way in the back corner of the counter were not even Alexander can reach it. Miriam and I go upstairs to get ready. Normally we hear Eva pushing chairs across the floor when she wants to get something off of the counter. We didn't hear anything, all we hear is the bowl smash with candy corn and glass all over the floor, the funny thing is the bowl was smashed on the opposite side of the kitchen where we left it.

11/5/2010 7:30 pm.--On our way back in the car Eva takes the lid off of her drink and dumps it all over herself and the car.

11/6/2010 8:00 am.--We wake up to Alexander yelling "Uh oh EVA!" When we get downstairs we see a brand new package of Pringles opened and crushed all over the floor and water from somewhere has also been poured all over the floor. Normally she wakes us up on Saturday Mornings by banging on our door. She must have remembered that Mamma had bought snacks when we she went grocery shopping the day before because she snuck downstairs.

11/6/2010 11:00 am.--Dad comes home from a volunteer community clean-up, Mamma is upstairs with Jamison and Alexander. Eva is downstairs on the couch with a brand new loaf of bread crumbled and scattered all over the couch.

11/6/2010 1:30 pm.-- We had just put Eva down for a nap when we hear her banging on the door. We open the door to see that she has taken her diaper off and peed on the floor. We are not so mad about this one because we are potty training her.

We are taught patience every single day, sometimes every single hour, by our daughter the Angel

Seascape Wall

This is my seascape wall.
I completed it a few weeks ago and I love it.
Its the first thing you see when you walk into the house.
As you can see there is room to grow.
So far I have one water color, one acrylic, one print and 8 photographs.
Some are mine and others are not.

Now i just need a buffet underneath when I find one that I love.

I have already started

Dressing them alike.

I bought these shirts at the beginning of the summer and well Jamison's is for a 6 month old so I figured it wouldn't fit until the spring. But it fit and Alexander recognized the shirt and wanted to wear his. I LOVE them!

Alexander makes me smile

Here is another dance party but just with Alexander

halloween is over

We had so much fun this Halloween. We had TONS of trick or treaters yesterday. I LOVED IT! Our neighborhood looked like those neighborhoods on the movies with all the many many trick or treaters. Here are the kids waiting for the trick or treaters
We had a nice Halloween meal
Notice that shrek was a part of our centerpiece

Here are spiderman and FionaAlexander had 2 suckers in his mouth at once, Eva had 4 open in her hand. They will be eating candy all week. This year its not so great because they don't want to open and eat them all at once (just one day of nasty stickiness and hyperness for me) They are saving them so days and days of hyperness.

I hope you all had a fun and safe Halloween month.
Now onto Thanksgiving!!
