Yes

Hi Everybody,
Yes we are pregnant, well no we aren't pregnant I am. If only Daniel could experience the 'joy' of pregnancy. So far its the worse pregnancy yet and this time round there is no beach to take me away. According to pregnancy calenders our due date is Sep 3rd so I still have like a million hours of this to go. The nausea started at week six, I think thats a rip off but what can I do. It only gets worse or stays the same. Its a 24 hour thing this time no morning sickness of night sickness its always-sickness even when I wake up in the night I am nauseous. My children are not very forgiving with my lay on the couch with movies and snacks for them all day. They have been rebelling with many colorful (the color green yesterday) different messes each and every day. I am having a hard time keeping up.

This time round I have tried sea sick wrist bands (they helped but didn't take the nausea away fully) crackers, soda water, fruits veggies salt and vinegar chips and every other remedy out there nothing works so its a suffer through it thing. The problem with this pregnancy is that food doesn't help. I used to be able to eat a meal with bubba and eva and then the nausea would go away until I was hungry again. This time the food makes it worse so its hard to even want to eat. I don't crave anything which sucks because I never know what to eat. Everything just sounds GROSS to me.

The good news is I might only have two weeks of nausea left. The obvious bad news is this pregnancy is so different maybe I have 7 more months of nausea left. We don't go anywhere, Daniel worries about me and tries to get me out of the house but I just feel so sick it doesn't ever sound worth it. We always go out on Saturdays all day and that helps a lot I have started to really love the weekends now.

Daniel has been wonderful I can't believe how wonderful! He sometimes works 13 hours a day and he still comes home and helps me with dinner and cleaning. He does all the shopping and I just can't believe how great he has been! Every now and then he comes home for lunch. I LOVE that! Its a nice break for me just to see him in the day and the kids look forward to it especially Eva. Anyway sorry for this complaining post. Many of you know what kind of pregnant lady I am so I will try to keep the posts positive.

Thanks for all the congrats in the last one.

Miriam

YEA!! Congrats!! I'm so excited for you guys!!

Though... I'm sorry you're sick. Now that I've had the personal experience of being that sick, I totally empathize with you. Mine started at about week 6-7 and hasn't let up... so I'm crossing my fingers for you!! I wish I could tell you something that would help... I tried everything too and nothing really worked. The thing that worked the best for me is a drug called Zofran. That was what finally got the vomiting under control... but the nausea never went away. Food never helped me, even now, it just makes me sick; I crave nothing and never want to eat anything (even though I am starving!) The only thing (besides the Zofran) that helped me was Tang (it's a drink, don't know if you've heard of it). If you start to get really bad heartburn, I've got a supplement you have to try -- it's the only thing that's helped me. So call us or email me. Oh, and I got this really nasty taste in my mouth (still have it) and the only thing that helps that is lemons (lemonade, lemon water, lemon juice, etc).

Feel free to call me and we can commiserate together :) I hope it lets up for you!

I had to have vitamin B12 injections with my pregnancies. I was vomiting all the time. Those injections helped. When I have nausea (it's part of my regular life now) I take a ginger tablet and that helps. Ginger is good for nausea. Just make sure it's ok to take it. I really am not too keen on pills. So sorry that you inherited this thing of feeling awful while pregnant.
You are always in our prayers. In the end those children are all worth the suffering you go through. I know that is not what you want to hear. We love you and all the best Miriam.
Thank you Daniel for being so great.
Miriam do you need someone to come stay with you for a few weeks?

Congrats! I am so happy for you guys!! We aren't too far apart - July 23rd for us. Everything was a lot worse with this one startin at 3 1/2 wks - (but that was do to it being twins at first) - but you sound totally like me! (twins?? :-)goods news though that 2 nd trimester has been a little bit better than with Noah. Hopefully it continues that way! try the papaya enzymes - if you can stomach them- oh and there's a test you can get at the drug store that can tell you the sex of the baby as early as 10 wks - FYI - it's 90% accurate, just in case you are as ansy as me - Wish you were near by, we could comiserate together, I miss having my "buddy". you can complain to me anytime, I UNDERSTAND!!! Love ya lots!!!
