Ch ch ch changes

I have that shrek changes song in my head right now. Anyway its been a while a
nd there have been lots of changes in our house, sort of. Our Ward got split in half and joined w
ith a section of another ward. I must say I went into mourning for a week for my old ward until I met our new ward members then I was excited for change and the ab
ility to make ourselves better. Then I was called as the Young Women President. That change was a BIG one. It was super scary and then it wasn't :) I trust in the Lord to help me so thats thats. Then I got in this frenzy at home that I needed to finish all my garage projects and all the things that I look at in my house that drive me nuts on a daily basis (paint things) It was a spring cleaning thing. So we made some more changes. First Jenny came to visit and it was SPLENDID. I felt bad because I wasn't there one of the nights for YW but I think she understands. Then Jenny left and my kids were sad and then we made a big change.Eva and Alexander shared a room and we talked with the kids to see who wanted to share a room with Jamison and they decided Alexander would share a room with Jamison and Eva would get her own new room. To celebrate we (I) painted Eva's new room. A very light color. Then we rearranged all the furniture and toys. The kids were SOOO excited about all this. I took Eva to goodwill and let her choose some art for her walls. Here is one of them:
That dog on the wall was her choice. They were some fun things. Then we went to the dollar store and bought MANY storage containers for her closet. They have such fun colors during Easter. Then we drove straight home and hung everything on the walls and organized the toys. She even went into my closet with me and chose framed things in there that she wanted on her walls (from my extra pile) and went to certain parts of the house to ask for art right off the walls. I let her get some but not all. Then when Alexander got home from school he was a little upset. Not because
I had completely rearranged the rooms but because he didn't have any art for his walls. So I think this next weekend I will take him to fill his walls. We did get him a green lamp. He is really into green all of the sudden. Anyway here are some photos.
This was Jamison most of the time because I kept taking things away from him, like the box of nails and the hammer. Then when he realized I was taking photos of him he started doing this.
Here are some flowers we put in her room, she kept saying she needed to smell them.

She had these gray drawers in her room but I decided the white ones I redid a long time ago because I got inspired by my sister Meleofa who had almost the identical dresser and painted it black.
Yeah its pretty girly when its white. Then here is the mini gallery wall right by her bed. She chose the catcus canvas from Target herself and then wanted the bird pictures from another room so I let her have them.

Here is her reading corner. I read this book about organizing your family and it said every child should have their own book case and I think I agree. She chose the blonde little ballerina picture from good will and that anne gedes butterfly baby picture, I already had the one in the closet and she had the other
Anyway thats her new room and and I must say its fun to have a little girls room in the house. Its a full bed so it doubles as a guest room if need be.

So thats us sort of in a nut shell. However the really exciting thing that happened last weekend was the wall raising. Thats right our bbq's with the neighbors are no more. We raised them all to 6 ft and I believe we are all happy. Our back neighbor even called and said it was beautiful. Probably because she doesn't have to see our kids looking over the fence everyday. ITS MARVELOUS!!
so now we (Daniel) are planting all the plants and finishing our yard. Anyway my time is up so until next time.

Cake is GOOD

Jamison enjoyed himself on his birthday

A funny side note. Daniel and I were discussing who was supposed to clean what. I bathed Jamison and then he said we agreed to clean the mess together. Then we watched this video and he said he would clean the mess and I would clean Jamison. I laughed and laughed and then I cleaned the mess :)

Happy Birthday Jamison

This little guy is one today! We are so happy about it. One means a new carseat so he can see. Milk in a sippy cup and the ability to travel a lot better because sitting up and drinking milk from your cup means happiness. We are having cake and a pirate party with the kids (after church that is) So happy birthday Jamison! Here are some pictures of him right before he turned one (last night)

As you can see Eva threw the ball at his neck

He is now doing the look under your legs because things look awesome upside down thing

Eating dirt
Here he is this morning, eating blocks

And with his blanket. I will post pictures with cake later.

Mini photo shoot

The other day Daniel and I cleaned out his new office and tried to put some pictures on the walls. We did it for our date night (we have date nights now and they are FANTASTIC!) Anyway I love to organize and throw things away so it was a good time. Well all the photos I had didn't have Jamison in them! Thats how long ago I framed photos! When the kids woke up this morning I threw them into some colorful clothes and threw them outside and we took some photos. I wanted to share them with you so enjoy!

There were obviously way more but there you go! Having Alexander in school is SOOO great! He loves it. In fact last night when we were reading and saying prayers Alexander asked if he was going to school tomorrow (Saturday) and we said "no its a day off" and he started crying and was rather distraught. So we know he loves it. I love it too. Now for the in school projects and accomplishments! Today Daniel hung a fan and hung a bamboo shade on our bedroom door (the one that goes out to the patio) I made a deal with him yesterday. If he would hang the fan (which has been sitting in our bedroom since may) I would finish the cedar chest

this coming week (meaning finish stripping, sanding, painting, staining and polyurethaning the cedar chest I bought back in may!!!!) So now I have to do it and hopefully that will make me project productive. I am feeling inspired! Oh my GOODNESS I just looked and I bought the chest on March 29th!! AHHH That means it has taken me longer that the hutch to finish!!!

Easter 2011

I got the kids ready for church today and then asked Daniel to take some photos of them while I got ready. This is what we got. I heard a lot of "Sit down" "Look this way" EVA stop. They are funny. We had a lovely Easter and Daniel planted lots of flowers yesterday to prepare for this wonderful Holiday.

Last Week, sick and Jamison update

We apologize for the lack of posts last week but this house was under the sickness. This was one of those horrible you don't know what to do sicknesses. Eva started last Sunday night with weezing and having a hard time breathing and then coughing from her lungs and screaming in pain. This was for two nights and then just coughing and non appetite. I kept thinking about going to the ER when she couldn't breath but I worried I would be waiting there for 4 hours without being seen by a doctor and then going to a room finally and waiting another 2 hours then being told its not serious go home and I didn't really want to do that because that would make her worse. We called our nurse hotline and were told to use cool mist humidifier and tylenol and and honey she was able to sleep a bit that first night. It wasn't working that well so we bought a warm mist humidifier and ding ding ding that is what they needed. Then ALexander got it and he was screaming out in pain a lot and I was up all night worried they were not breathing so yeah it was a HORRIBLE week. They finally got better on Sunday night. Their coughs were hardly there. We went to the doctor yesterday for wellness visits and Eva is fine so yeah. I came out the worst during this because I was exhausted and cabin fever but I am feeling happy now that Alexander went to school yesterday and Eva is happy again. Luckily Jamison didn't get it at all!! Daniel started to get it but with forced sleep gatorade and orange juice he was able to stop it early.

This was Eva when we put her back in her room (she was in our room on her mattress on the floor for 3 days) we put a portable dvd player on the chair for entertainment.

This was the first morning Alexander started to feel sick (wednesday) He was SOOO happy because Eva was getting special treatment for being sick and he kept saying he was sick when he wasn't (he finally got sick and jumped in our bed (literally) but he wasn't too happy when the full sickness came and he couldn't breath and it felt like his lungs were getting ripped to shreds.
Having two extremely sick kids and a 6 month old doesn't mix well with my ability to run back and forth. So in the mornings I would feed Jamison and stick him in my bed. Alexander loved having someone to talk to and Jamison loved being right next to Alexander. So I gave Jamison his blanky and he kept falling asleep (Jamison loves our bed and he LOVES LOVES LOVES his blanky, falling asleep not in his bed is NOT normal for him) Here are some shots of Jamison through the week.

He has learned to sit up without falling over much (hence the pillows behind him)
He has learned that his thumb is a LOVELY thing to stick in his mouth
He has learned he loves Daddy . He loves sitting in his lap, looking at him, playing with him and smiling at him.
Oh and Jamison is now 6 months old! He is a healthy boy (I mean he didn't even get sick through all that!!)

He weighs 19lbs 8 ounces 90% for weigh
He is 27 inches tall 75% for height
and his head is still more than the 95th%

He now fully fits the 12 month old clothes some have extra foot room but I can barely zip his pjs at the chest and some clothes are just too tight at the chest. I think he has a very broad and large chest and shoulders. He is as cute as ever, there is this little book thing on the exersaucer (Meleofa's that we still haven't returned... sorry Meleofa we promise to bring it out next time we are in Utah!!) he likes to flip through it and look at the pictures!! Anyway he is ready for stage 2 solids! so any tips on how to make those from home would be great. I have never been big on the baby food jars but I can't remember how to do stage 2 foods. I think I need a blender.

So yeah not a good week but it made me really appreciate the healthy times no matter how messy :)

My not so little Jamison

I took Jamison to his 4 month appointment and he is not slowing down on the growing.

He weighs 17lbs 10.5 ounces
Which means he has gained 9 lbs since birth! He is in the 95%
He is 25 1/2 inches tall. He is in the 75%
His head is 45% so he is in the above 95%

In New Mexico instead of immunize by two its immunize by one so he gets 3 shots every time we go in. He loved the nurse and couldn't stop smiling and giggling at her but then she gave him the shots and he was whimpering at the first one and then screaming his lungs out for the other two. However she started to talk to him and asked him if he hated her now and he just started smiling and giggling again. As you can see from these photos he would rather smile than cry. If I am in a bad mood I just need to hold Jamison for awhile and then I am happy again.
He has no interest at all in food. I hold him at the dinner table and he doesn't try to eat or even look at the food and the doctor said with his size he is fine to not get solids and we will check again at 6 months. He is growing so fast! I want him to stay little so I really need to enjoy his littleness while it lasts.

2 Months

Jamison turned 2 months last week or the week before and I took he and Eva to the doctor and he really is a big boy.
He is 23 inches long
He weighs 14 lb 11 oz
and he has a big head.

No shock there :) The reason I say he really is big because he was 85th percentile for height 95th for weight and 95th for his head. That is a really good size for heads in our little family. Alexander has never been on the chart.

Eva also had a wellness check up and she is in the 60th for height 60th for weight and 95th for head. We always though she was a small child but apparently she is an average sized child but our boys are just big. Here is Jamison discovering his hands
This is the look I get all day long unless I am talking to him. When I talk to him he smiles. He is a very smiley baby and I LOVE IT.

I have already started

Dressing them alike.

I bought these shirts at the beginning of the summer and well Jamison's is for a 6 month old so I figured it wouldn't fit until the spring. But it fit and Alexander recognized the shirt and wanted to wear his. I LOVE them!

Today we visited the pediatrician

Alexander needed to get his immunizations today 6! He did well but I had to take all of the kids in with me and it took 2 hours because I had to fill out the what can your 4 year old do worksheets. It went well actually but I need to catch Eva up on hers and Jamison is doing just fine there. Anyway I figured I would share some pictures because I haven't in a while. Of Jamison of course because he changes the most.

Eva is always asking to hold Jamison.
She says "Mamma I need to hold Jamison"
He is so big though it is difficult for her :)

Here he is smiling.
I can get him to smile every once in awhile and he smiles when he sees Daniel

He is just a chunk.
Quite heavy already but oh so cute.

Just us

I figured I would just post some pictures. Daniel is very good about being with the children when he gets home from work. Alexander was telling him about his school day and Jamison was just enjoying his dad.

What a great Dad

I have been sooo busy with children and house and sleep that I haven't been on this computer since friday or so (I really can't remember) My memory is completely shot. I feel like I need a HUGE white board on the entire living room wall just so I can write down all the things I need to do and be able to do them. I just can't remember ANYTHING. I have been soo busy yet I haven't accomplished anything. Is that just another part of motherhood?

A recap of the last few days is: I went to the relief society broadcast! I actually went which I usually don't. I will usually just catch it online at my own convenience but a friend of mine in the ward told me they like to go together because its more fun so I went and it was fun. I left all the kids at home and Daniel did not have fun at all but I was very grateful for the uplifting messages and peacefulness.

Jamison and I went to church. I found this cute little vest and figured because he has no church clothes he can just wear his fancy vest over his solid colored sleepers and he will be in his best dressed :)
We got up at 7:30 and that in itself was very difficult for me. It took me all the way to church to actually be awake. I felt like a zombie all day long however the part that was great was that I wasn't stressed about our very energetic primary class. I was rather mellow because of exhaustion.

Thats about it. Jamison has been rather fussy doesn't like to be put down and there is no one else to hold him!! Well Daniel and he does when he is home so that is a nice break. I am VERY excited about this weekend and all the holders of babies that are coming!!

Oh on Thursday we bought a new couch. We had been looking for quite awhile and finally found IT! and we paid the extra $100 for 5 years of repair. I guess its like a warranty. I used to think warrantys were for suckers. I thought "Who in their right mind would puncture their couch" and then I had two year olds. They will probably be sorry they sold us the protection plan. It covers EVERYTHING. I remember when Alexander drew all over our brand new couchs in Guam. Yeah so wohoo.

Oh and Daniel was a great dad and made forts with them
The New sectional!! Red Leather seems to be our choice in couches.

So that is what we have been doing. Living is what it is called I guess.

P.S We have netflix and the Young Victoria plays instantly and we watched it and I LOVED IT. That's random but I rarely find movies that I absolutely love and actually recommend. Its the history that got me.
